Jen and Todd - Engagement Session

A couple weeks back I took a trip down to the Moshulu in Philadelphia with Jen and Todd for their engagement session.  Todd proposed to Jen during a nice Valentines Day dinner here last year, so it holds a special place in their hearts.  There are only a few samples here - but that's because they have a special surprise for the rest of the shots to be shown at the wedding (At the Spingmill Country Club) next week. Having been friends with these two, for years now,  made this shoot particularly fun

Peachtree Portraits Studio (portraits)

An exciting (and extremely daunting) time for any photographer is launching their first website.  My good friend Meagan just did! Meagan will be concentrating mainly on kids and families.  Check her work out!  www.peachtreeportraitstudio.com

Part of the new site launched, she wanted some nice shots to show her and her image off.  I think we definitely captured "Meagan".

Lancaster Photog Shootout

In the middle of April, my friend Leslie Gilbert hosted the photog shoot out.  A few of us started out at her place for the getting ready portion with the models.  Most of these models were actually past brides of either Leslie, or a few other of the photographers that were in attendance (and even 1 future bride!). These shoots are so much fun - hanging out with friends, learning and teaching and taking pictures... all things I really enjoy doing.

Here's a few... (link to the full Facebook gallery below)

The talented make-up artist, Kristen Lober, making final touches while Cindy Guessford captures the moment.

This is Janelle (with the hat), in the back.  I will be shooting with Leslie in a few weeks at Janelle's wedding.  Stay tuned for those pics!

And here is the link to the full gallery on Facebook.  Check it out.. leave comments.

Atlantic City - Photog Shootout

The March Photog Shootout was held down in Atlantic City.  The shootouts are great times for new and experienced photographers to get together and help each other try new ideas, and as the motto gos, "Shoot, Learn, Laugh". I was lucky enough to get to spend time working with Rachel.  If you think she looks familiar... you're right.  She was one of the fun brides that I got to work with a while back at the huge Trash the Dress event, at the same location.

Here are a few from the shoot.  Check the link below for a full gallery on Facebook.

Model Shoot - practice, practice, practice

During the slow season, a few of us like to stay fresh, and keep shooting, even if the Pennsylvania weather doesn't play nicely. Towards the end of February, a group of us got together to have some fun, practice some off camera lighting and share info back and forth (ok, a few drinks may have been involved too :) ).

After the make-up and hair was done, we started off at Elfreth's Alley.  From there you took a short drive to Washington Square Park.  You can't tell from the pictures, but it below 20 degrees this night.  These girls were definitely troopers.

Whitney having a little fun before we leave to start the shoot.

Erika knows how to strike the pose.  - Side note, Erika is one of the Philly 52 models.  Congrats!
