Melissa and Fran - Rosebank Winery Wedding

Melissa and Fran were married a few weeks at Old St. Andrews Church in Newtown.  It was a really fun, brisk October day.  At the beginning of the day I met with Melissa and her bridesmaids, while my second photographer, Jen Woodruff, covered Fran and his groomsmen at the hotel. This day, in particular, was a very easy day.  Not only were Melissa and Fran, and their family and friends so easy to work with and spend the day with, but I actually went to high school with her brother, AND the whole days commute was about 5 miles for me.

After the ceremony, instead of just going over to Tyler Park (which is a gorgeous background), we ventured into Newtown and walked around State St. for a little bit.  This was a fun alternative and we got some really awesome wedding pictures for them!  From there, we headed over to their reception site - Rosebank Winery  - where we walked through the grape vines, and vineyard and were welcomed with some of the most amazing golden sun.

As the reception kicked off, everyone danced and had an great time.

Melissa and Fran, thank you for allowing me to be part of your wedding!

I particularly love their expressions Jen caught here

Lyndsey and Tim - Wedding

This weekend, I got to photograph Lyndsey and Tim's wedding.  We did their engagement session just a few months ago and had a really fun time.  The day of the wedding rolled around, and it was filled with just as much fun.   Starting the day with Lyndsey, I was immediately welcomed by the rest of her family and friends.  As she finished up getting ready, Lyndsey, squeezed into the back seat of her dads car, to make our way to the church in Newtown. Before the ceremony started, Lyndsey and Tim called each other and spent a few minutes in very private team praying together before seeing each other for the first time as she walked down the aisle.  It was a ceremony filled with emotion and smiles from Lyndsey, Tim and each of their guests.  After the ceremony, we headed to the courtyard for a large group picture with the whole guest count.

We then arrived at Tyler State Park (the same place we finished up with their engagement session).  The light at this point of the day was a photographers dream!  Gorgeous, golden, soft light streaming in, but with just enough shade from the trees to give a contrast.  We cut the bridal party loose so that we could finish up with one more idea I had.  Tim zipped his truck up the rock road for something fun, and not your common wedding picture (I think it will be their favorite - it's mine ;) )

After another short stop, it was onto the reception.  Lots of dancing, some good food and the festivities were underway.  During the evening, I stole them away, just for a few minutes, to take a few pictures of the sunset.  Even though we only had a parking lot to work with, when the light and scene is there, it's no problem to get a fantastic sunset image!

Congrats Lyndsey and Tim - Enjoy!

Krista and Mark - Aldie Mansion Wedding

Having shot their engagement session only a few weeks ago, it was really nice to see Krista and Mark again so soon!  As I mentioned in the previous post, I have known Krista's family for a long time now, and it was truly an honor to be part of their wedding day at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown.  A big shout out goes to my good friend (and bowling league teammate), David Mielcarek - for his help as my second shooter.   This day, in particular was a very emotional day, and I was very happy to be able to be part of it.  Krista, Mark, their families and friends all came to have a good time.  And it was clear from the beginning it was going to happen!

Courtney and Paul - Wedding

A few weeks back, Courtney and Paul had their wedding at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Meeting up with Courtney and her bridesmaids, 1 of who was a familiar face - I shot Keri's bucks county wedding 2 years ago.

During the ceremony, Courtney had the biggest smile on her face the whole time, and Paul couldn't keep his eyes off his beautiful bride.

The Arboretum is a beautiful place, and we had full access to all of the gardens.  Getting shuttled around on the golf cart, the whole bridal party and I spent about an hour having fun and taking some great wedding pictures.

A casual reception under the tent with nice weather outside made for a great relaxed evening with their friends and family all around them!

Courtney and Paul - Engagement Session

Last weekend I met up with Courtney and Paul for their engagement session.  Courtney helps with the student life on George school, so we used the school grounds as our location.  The early April weather barely could have been better.  They also brought along their two dogs.  Ben and Roxy.  I love dogs, and these two were so much fun and friendly.  They wanted to be with Courtney and Paul the whole time (as you'll see from the pictures :) ) We walked around for a bit, talked for a bit, and took some pictures.  Just the way I like to photograph engagement sessions.

Here's their preview.
