Crista and Tom - Engagement Session

Last Sunday, I met up with Crista and Tom.  Their engagement session took place at Lackawanna Park in Hoboken.  Very much like the day before,  these two were also a ton of laughs and smiles.  I'm thinking it may actually be a hard wedding to photograph - they  smile too much ;) (kidding, of course).  We met at this park because this is where they met (during a Relay for life event).  And with New York City as a backdrop for a few other pictures, this was a great place.  The sun even came out about half way through and allowed us for even better pictures. Their wedding will actually be a lot of fun.  Having a few mutual friends with Tom will bring a party crowd, and Crista is designer of really fantastic favors and other elements for weddings and events - check out her work - http://www.creationsbycristamarie.com/

Here's their preview from the Hoboken Engagement session.

Willeatha and Jason - wedding

On July 4th, my friend Cindy Guessford accompanied me to Stroudsmoor Country Inn, to photograph Willeatha and Jason's wedding.  Their engagement session in Brooklyn, at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge was a lot of fun, and I could tell then that this wedding was going to be a work out :) The bride and groom both looked great, and despite the heat wave we have had going on, everyone stuck together and stayed in great spirits.   From the time that they first glanced at each other, they were full of smiles and love in their eyes (the way a wedding should be).  It was a very emotion filled ceremony, that overlooked the valley below - what a scene!

Through out the night, there were fireworks going off in the distance in each direction we looked.  Both families packed the dance floor and kept dancing all night.

Make sure you also take an extra close look at Willeatha's dress.  It came from Kleinfelds in New York City!  It is a stunning dress.

Times Square Portrait Shoot

So over the Easter holiday weekend, I took a trip up to visit my friend Mandy Karangelen, in Hoboken.  Her friend, Andrew, was in town from Australia. We met up in Hoboken in the evening then headed into New York City.  As this was Andrew's first time in the Big Apple, we wanted to really show a staple landmark of the city as a backdrop for their portrait shoot.

New York City photographer

Now, New York City is a big place... and especially for most visitors, one of the last places to just run into someone you know on the street....  Well, that is exactly what happened!  As we were shooting, I turned and looked over my shoulder and saw California photographer, Becker.   We all hung out for a few ours and just had a good time!  He even snapped a few of me... yes, I got in front of the camera.  Make sure you check out his blog.

New York City Head shots

Becker was in town shooting an engagement session for his clients who happen to be getting married in a few months in Connecticut.

During the portrait session, a few young'ns all sprawled their way into the scene.  It was so spontaneous and fun, that we all just rolled with it.

Then Becker took the group aside and started some very impromptu and fun street portraits... he his is working his people skills.
