Nicole and Michael - Wedding at Bald Eagle State Park

Nicole and Michael chose a fantastic spot for their intimate wedding.  Held at the Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park in Howard, PA, their ceremony and reception fit their closest friends and family so well!

Nicole was referred to me by my photography mentor, Chris (who taught me many, MANY years ago.... we're talking before I was in high school, people).  I was happy to help a family member of such a long time friend.  While a long drive from Philadelphia, Bald Eagle State Park is a gorgeous setting.  When I arrived, the rain was holding out.  Sadly, it didn't hold out too much longer.  During the bridal prep and the ceremony, the rain came down pretty heavy... but you know what, I never heard Nicole of Michael complain about it one bit!  It made me really happy to know they embraced their wedding day and were just happy to be getting married!

Following a short service, they moved everyone from under the tent inside for a night filled with laughs, dancing all while being surrounded by a nature education.

Here are a few moments from their day!

Wedding at the Waterfall - Jen and Pete

A few weeks back, I photographed my first wedding of the 2016 season!  Yes, that's an early start to the year with this February nuptials.  Jen and Pete have been great to work with, and so relaxed during all of their portraits and the engagement session.

The day of their ceremony couldn't have gone any better either.  Beautiful sun light, lots of smiles and laughs, and a great party to close the night off.

Their Greek ceremony was held at St. Lukes in Broomall, PA and the reception followed at the Waterfall in Claymont, DE

Kasey and Kevin - Waters Edge New Jersey Wedding

A couple of months ago, I photographed Kasey and Kevin's  new jersey engagement session.  Fast forward a few weeks, and a trip to Tom River, New Jersey and it was the day of their wedding.  During their engagement session, they brought their two sons along too.  They are the typical 3 and 2 year old boys (playing in the rocks and walking to their own beat).  The whole family was a delight to work with. I was really excited to see them on their wedding day too.  I photographed the first wedding that the Waters Edge Restaurant held after reopening from Hurricane Sandy, and nearly 2 years later, they have come even further.

Kasey and Kevin were a true blast to work with.  They were looking for exactly how I describe my style of photography - natural and laid back.  They were definitely up for some portraits during different parts of the day, but I could tell they were much more comfortable wWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge WeddingWaters Edge Weddinghen we (my second photographer) and I took a step back and just let them make each other laugh.

Colleen and Erik - Valley Forge Engagement Session

Wedding and engagement session season is starting!  Colleen and Erik's (yes, spelled the same way as yours truly) engagement session was the first engagement photo session of the season.  Their wedding is in a few months, but since they are doing most of the planning from D.C., time was limited to get their pictures done.  We met at Valley Forge National Park on a Sunday, at noon.  Now, noon is usually one of the hardest times to photograph people during (the location of the sun makes complimentary lighting difficult).  But even though we didn't get to use the golden hour light that most sessions are scheduled for, we found some great areas to make up for it.  The arch ways and corridors of the Washington Memorial Chapel worked so well. Colleen and Erik were so laid back and we all had a great time.  They brought they puppy - Biscuit - with them.  He nearly stole the whole show.  I brought puppy babysitter, Regan, to help out (a role she absolutely loved).
