Adam has been one of my best friends for a long time (One of my weddings back in June was Adam's brother Todd) . When he came to me a few weeks back with an idea, I was a tad bit shocked (in a good way), but very happy and excited to be part of it.
Laura is due to have their first baby (girl) in November. We had talked months ago about doing a really nice maternity session, so it was just about waiting for the right time. - By the way ladies, the 7 month mark is a great time for maternity session!
Adam came to me about a month before the shoot and asked what I thought about turning the maternity session into a proposal at the latter half of the photo shoot. Of course I thought it was a cool idea! "YEAH, LET'S DO IT!!!!" are the words I think I used. ;)
The day of the session, Adam stopped by my place for a few minutes before hand and trusted me with the gorgeous engagement ring he picked out. It stayed in my camera bag until we were ready for the next part of the shoot. We all met up at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA about an hour and a half before sunset (great golden light!!) Armed with my new 24mm f/1.4 Canon Lens and my trusty 70-200 f/2.8 IS, I was able to not only stand far enough away for some quiet time, but also get close enough to really capture the emotion between these two.
Here's a sample - there's a lot!

(She said yes ;) )

Look at that gorgeous light!

Congrats you two!! The wedding is gonna be a blast, and can't wait to meet the little one soon!
