Last week , I drove down to Ocean City, New Jersey for Lisa and Mike's wedding. The weather was beautiful - lots of sun, and very warm! my good friend Mark Gardner rode with me to help out. Mark hung out with the guys, and I got to meet up with the girls. Everyone looked amazing and I could tell it was going to be a fun day. Lisa and Mike rented a Jitney, instead of the traditional limo. After a traditional mass service and some family pictures, we headed to the beach for the bridal party session. The whole group was a treat to work with. Everyone helped out and were very willing to experiment with different shots. Now, Mike is a lifeguard and firefighter for Ventnor City. That meant that we basically had free range of the firehouse... and trucks :) After a stop there, the reception was next. WHAT A PARTY. can't say much more that that. Here are a few pics from the day. (careful, some of them are pretty steamy)
Lindsay and Chad's Jamaica wedding photos
Last summer I met Lindsay while photographing Jen and Todd's wedding. Lindsay is a great makeup artist! I met with her towards the end of the summer about photographing her wedding in Jamaica! I feel good each time I am asked to photograph a couples special day, but I was SO excited to have been trusted so much that they had to take me with them to Montego Bay.
After meeting with Chad and Lindsay - I was even more excited, as the wedding and reception was held at the all inclusive, 5 star resort - Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.
Destination weddings are a lot of work - not only for me, but for everyone involved and attending. It means taking a full weekend (or more) off and lots of travel and commitment. That makes it so much more special when you have over 60 people there with you!
Since I was in Jamaica for a few days after the wedding, I suggested to Lindsay and Chad that we walk around for a little while for a day after session. They were both really excited and ready for it.
Take a look at some pictures from the day and be sure to check out the slideshow at the bottom.
Welcome!!!
Well, here it is! you may notice a new name and logo - same great pictures though!
"Your Timeless Photos" has served me very well, but it was time to transition to something that spoke a little bit more "Me".
There are a bunch of new posts coming down the line - and a new website should be launching soon! - till then the original site is still up and running.
Eva and Brian - Wedding
I got the chance to help fellow photographer Alicia Cohen, of Old New Castle, DE, by photographing Eva and Brian's wedding in Bethany Beach, DE (just south of Rehoboth Beach). The wedding and reception were all held at the very beautiful Addy Sea Bed and Breakfast. Eva, Brian and their guests were all extremely welcoming and fun to be around. This crowd came to party. The band hand to tell people to stop dancing... yeah, it was that kind of night :).
The day started off with everyone getting ready then on to the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, Eva and Brian asked me to follow them back inside. Eva grabbed an envelope that they have been holding onto for a little while now. This was when they found out that they are having a baby girl!!!! I was especially honored and excited to be part of that special moment between them.
At the end of the night, we took a walk to the shore line and got in a day of trash the dress session! Ok, so it just got a little wet... but that is more than most brides want to do the day of the wedding. It was lots of fun!
Here are a few from the day.
(that paper is the letter from their doctor with the note, "Congratulations! It is a girl! Hope you're enjoying your trip :)" )
Atlantic City - Photog Shootout
The March Photog Shootout was held down in Atlantic City. The shootouts are great times for new and experienced photographers to get together and help each other try new ideas, and as the motto gos, "Shoot, Learn, Laugh". I was lucky enough to get to spend time working with Rachel. If you think she looks familiar... you're right. She was one of the fun brides that I got to work with a while back at the huge Trash the Dress event, at the same location.
Here are a few from the shoot. Check the link below for a full gallery on Facebook.
