So over the Easter holiday weekend, I took a trip up to visit my friend Mandy Karangelen, in Hoboken. Her friend, Andrew, was in town from Australia. We met up in Hoboken in the evening then headed into New York City. As this was Andrew's first time in the Big Apple, we wanted to really show a staple landmark of the city as a backdrop for their portrait shoot.
Now, New York City is a big place... and especially for most visitors, one of the last places to just run into someone you know on the street.... Well, that is exactly what happened! As we were shooting, I turned and looked over my shoulder and saw California photographer, Becker. We all hung out for a few ours and just had a good time! He even snapped a few of me... yes, I got in front of the camera. Make sure you check out his blog.
Becker was in town shooting an engagement session for his clients who happen to be getting married in a few months in Connecticut.
During the portrait session, a few young'ns all sprawled their way into the scene. It was so spontaneous and fun, that we all just rolled with it.
Then Becker took the group aside and started some very impromptu and fun street portraits... he his is working his people skills.
