My good friend Eric Kash (www.erickash.com) is an extremely talented fashion photographer. Working with models as often as he does, he sees a different aspect and industry of photography than I do with weddings. To try to challenge myself and share some of my tips with him, I went along on a big model/fashion photographer get together in NJ just outside of Hoboken, a couple weeks back. There were about 40-50 other photographers and about 20 models. Some people would be intimated in this kind of scene... but this was nothing compared to the family formal portion of a wedding day :).
I stepped up to each model and took control of the scene and directed them the way I wanted, all while there were about 7-10 other photographers shooting over my shoulder.
Here is what I got - what do you think for my first fashion shoot?
(yes, she really does have two different colored eyes!)
