If you recall, I’ve known Jocelyn and Alan for a few years now. When we met up last year for their engagement session, one of their favorite spots was Addison St, in Philadelphia. So during the planning of their timeline, we made sure to add it to the list of photography locations for their wedding.
The day of their wedding, like most weddings, there was lots of running around. There may or may not have been a mishap opening a bottle of beer in the guys room, but that didn’t slow the day down. From the outside, aside from the chaos of making sure everything was ready right, Jocelyn was a steel trap; Calm, Cool and Collective. Alan was very calm also, but any nerves you may have seen definitely melted away once they saw each other for their first look.
We made our way from The Sonesta (btw, they just finished renovating the hotel and it is gorgeous!) to Broad Street for a classic image with City Hall in the background. After, we headed to the Philadelphia Art Museum for bridal party pictures. We spent most of the sunny day there, and I’m glad we did. As common as the art museum may be for a lot of photographers and other weddings, I love finding different angles each time I visit it. And we weren’t disappointed that day either. We made our goal of visiting Addison Street too!
The reception was a blast and full of laughs throughout each speech.
I had SO much fun working with these two and was especially honored to be part of their wedding.
